What's happening at HSWC . . .
New adoption center forming!
We are currently planning on opening an Adoption Center for our cats/kittens at the PETCO store (Routes 5 and 20) in Canandaigua. Volunteers are needed seven days per week to feed and clean the kitties, and to process adoptions. Should you wish to take part in this endeavor, kindly contact Andi Meyer at (315) 986-1287, or download the PETCO Volunteer application (pdf) and mail or fax it to the Shelter (fax # (315) 946-9132).
Could your dog benefit from some obedience training?
There are training classes named Puppy Kindergarten (ages 7–16 weeks), Adolescent Puppy (ages 4–10 months), and Good Dog (ages 10 months and older) starting February 3 for six weeks, ending March 10 at the Palmyra Community Center, 424 Stafford Street, Palmyra, NY 14505.

Buy stuff. Come, Stay, Eat! Our cookbook is on sale at the shelter. It's a a collection of 200 recipes, helpful things and marvelous artwork. And, it's only $12.00 to purchase. There's also an order form (pdf) if you'd prefer to get them by mail. There's also a large selection of resale items at the shelter.
